How you can help during this COVID-19 crisis
As you can imagine, we have many urgent needs in the South Bay due to the COVID-19 crisis, including a critical shortage of food and other essential items for the most vulnerable members of our community. Journey of Faith is working closely with our community leaders and non-profit partners to identify and meet these needs as they arise, but we need your help! Browse below to see how you can make a difference.
Shoe Donation Drive
There’s a large, growing need in our community for donated shoes! Those who are transferring from streets to shelters don’t have access to many essential items, like a wearable pair of shoes. We need your help!
Donate Essential Items
Donate essential items right to our Journey Ministry Partners instead of dropping things off with us on campus!
Support our local and inner-city partners as they respond to COVID-19
Union Rescue Mission | Support kitchen staff to provide 3,000 meals a day
Located in the heart of Skid Row, Union Rescue Mission is a refuge of help and hope. A safe haven where men, women, and children can get the guidance and support they need to live a life transformed.
CASA | Become an advocate for a child in foster care
CASA volunteers are trained and supported to promote the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. They have the opportunity to improve the life of a child by advocating for the services and support that all children need: a permanent home, education, and healthcare.
Project Ropa | Help with sorting clothes, donations, etc.
Project Ropa helps restore dignity, rekindle optimism and empower lives by bringing clean clothing and access to other hygiene services directly to our homeless neighbors through impactful local partnerships.
